Description
When you become a mother, life changes in so many ways. No-one can prepare you for what it might be like and every person’s experience is different. Whether you had a baby last week or 20 years ago, there may be challenges that you need some support with. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, loss of identity, burn-out or you are just generally feeling overwhelmed with life. If so, I can help.
Counselling provides a rare opportunity for you to be able to talk about your thoughts and feelings in a confidential and non-judgemental setting. The aim of Counselling is to offer you the right environment within which you can freely explore what’s going on for you. Many clients that come to me want me to take away the ‘chaos’ that’s going on inside their head, they want clarity of thought, less overwhelming emotions. What I can offer is an opportunity for you to look at all of these things, to try and understand why you might be feeling the way you do, explore, discuss and hopefully normalise some of those things for you and help create clarity and, with it, a way forward.
I am an experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a first degree in Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists. I also work as a Therapeutic Supervisor and Helpline Trainer for the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre in Guildford.
